    Serena Moodley-Anderson

Serena Moodley-Anderson is a self-taught South African artist whose portraits and abstract works explore the depths of emotion, identity, and transformation. Her art is often described as soul-stirring — a visual language born from resilience and the rediscovery of self after a life-altering head injury in 2020.

Since returning to her practice in 2021, Serena’s work has been featured in exhibitions across Johannesburg and Durban, including Constitution Hill with The Arts Company Soweto, Gold Reef City, and the Johannesburg Art Fair with JAG. Her journey has also been profiled in The Post, Daily Tribune, and Forbes Magazine.

She is currently exhibiting in Dreamscapes at Gallery 21 with The Visual Republik, I Once Was, I Now Am at The Happy Dutchess in Kramerville, and at The Art Room Parkhurst.

Serena’s art invites viewers to pause, feel deeply, and reconnect with the unseen — the spaces within us where memory, spirit, and creation intertwine.

    Lauren Anne Mudzanani

Hi! I’m Lauren, an artist based in Joburg. I love colour and I believe PLAY is uber powerful and we don’t do it enough, especially as adults (me included). Every medium is my friend (just about), so I dabble in it all – acrylic, oils, watercolours, clay. And I want to do more! – collage, prints, carving, I don’t know, all of it! I believe in the power of creativity to heal and to help us rest and be present. There is a wonderful thing that happens when you create and slowly but surely the world switches off around you. For me, creating is a journey of choosing myself and choosing gentleness. AND a journey of rebellion against society’s need for speed. Through creativity I chase an alternative to the fast pace and materialism around me. I love bringing people along on this journey too!

    Alyssa Jairus

Based in Johannesburg, Alyssa Jairus is a self-taught artist with a background in architecture and interior design — a combination that shapes her bold sense of structure, color and rhythm on canvas. Though she’s been painting since the age of nine, it was only recently that she traded blueprints for brushstrokes to pursue art full-time.

Working primarily with acrylics, her pieces burst with edgy, vibrant energy and pop culture flair. Her art celebrates individuality and the stories we tell through color — a theme that’s earned her spots at creative showcases like Comic Con and other events.

When she’s not painting, she’s probably curating the perfect playlist for her next art session or passionately avoiding ironing her clothes.
